Sassafras Lowrey is an award-winning author and Certified Trick Dog Instructor. Her books have been honored by organizations ranging from the American Library Association to the Lambda Literary Foundation. She writes regularly for national and local dog magazines and has published 9 books of her own including 3 just for dog owners including the newest, Tricks in the City.
After many years in New York City, Sassafras now lives and writes in Portland, Oregon alongside her partner, three cats, and three dogs of dramatically different sizes who all train in a variety of canine sports from agility to tricks.
