Superior Self / Uplift Yourself

Dear Family, Friends, and Tribe,

I dreamed of a sentence I said clearly aloud in a field of flowers early this morning:
"Every blink of my existence is to uplift."

What does this mean to me in my waking hours? It means that every blink of my eyes, every breath, every thought, action, and deed, my pulse even, must serve to further my growth and understanding while here. This is not to say I won't stumble and fall, carry out less than stellar and kind actions, but that is my soul's purpose. 

I must also remember to uplift others' with my existence. I am a natural teacher, a natural sharer, and folks flock to my words because I have no filter. I am a storyteller. My tribe feel my truth, raw and evident with each whisper, song, and shout. Strangers come up to me and say, "Yes, I too. I am with you."

Yes? Yes is an uplift. I'll take it

Pick one or two people in your circle of love and trust and create a bond of support, so you know who you will go to when you are suffering from life's emotional challenges, physical challenges, and the everyday, never ending to-do lists that drive you mad. Allow them to uplift you. Your teachers, counselors, religious leaders, mentors, they too are for your support and uplifting. Your most favorite music, films, and books have been sources of elevation in times of need and in everyday encouragement. We do need uplifting everyday, like a caress. 

I have a new book coming out this August with Mango Publishing titled Happy Healthy You. We need to change the way in which we think of health and self care. We need to prevent ourselves from getting cancers and chronic conditions as much as possible. It starts with food, mindfulness, stress relievers on a daily basis, and laughing often. We need to go outside and play. We need to connect.
