Fupping/ 19 Books That Will Help You Stick To Your New Year’s Resolutions

Sticking to your new year’s resolution is never an easy task. Here to help you are 19 expert picked books.

#1 Habits for Success: Inspired Ideas to Help You Soar

From the Contributor: I am suggesting this book because I feel that the tried and true habits I share with the readers are truly foundation building gems that will help one lead a more authentic, successful and fulfilling life. When I set out to write Habits for Success I wanted to write the book that I would have loved to have been able to read as I began my journey into the unknown after I left my family's business 10 years ago. My specialty is being able to write in laymen's terms but with depth and my hope is that this book allows one to think and explore on a deeper level while feeling safe, inspired and entertained all at the same time.

#4 The Woman’s Book of Prayer by Becca Anderson

Sitting in silence, walking meditation, using prayer beads or folding your hands every night and talking to God are all forms of prayer. If you want something different in your life, you must pray a different prayer. The Woman's Book of Prayer will show you all the ways you can pray, so you can find the methods that work for you.

Comprised of mindfulness meditations, prayer practices and selections of sacred texts, poems and blessings, The Woman's Book of Prayer gathers words of encouragement, comfort and sustenance for women. Author Becca Anderson credits her recovery from a serious illness to the power of daily prayer. But she had to change the way she prayed and set off on an exploration of the myriad methods people use and uncovering the world's best prayers.

The Woman's Book of Prayer shows how to change your life by changing your prayer. By carefully and consciously choosing affirming thoughts and deliberately looking for blessings at every opportunity, you will literally create a new life for yourself.

#10 Body Transformation Meal Plan Design by Nick Mitchell and Jonathan Taylor

So many people will make a New Year’s Resolution to start a diet, eat more healthily or lose weight this year.

But many of these New Year’s Resolutions will have fallen by the wayside before January is even over.

I’ve seen it so many times over the years as a personal trainer.

What I have learned over this time is that the key to long-term and sustainable success comes not from mindlessly following the latest fad diet, but from understanding the fundamentals of nutrition and developing the knowledge and tools to be able to set up a diet and meal plan that works for your body, your lifestyle, your schedule and your personal preferences.

#14 Disrupt-Her: A Manifesto for the Modern Woman

The purpose of this book is to give women a jolt of FUCK YES in their lives and disrupt the status-quo thinking that currently drives so many of us. Disrupt-Her is a Modern Woman's Manifesto, asking--no, demanding--that women question, dissect, and then disrupt 13 major areas, issues, and preconceptions in their lives.

Miki Agrawal, founder of cutting-edge companies including TUSHY, gets us to look with fresh eyes at the notion of being an adult, the constant chirping of complaints and comparisons in our brains, the illusion of perfection, our interactions with Hate-Hers, our relationships with men who are stuck in the Patriarchy (and how we can replace them with SNAGS, or Secure New Age Guys), and so much more.

#18 The ONE Thing by Gary Keller

An old client of mine and an extraordinarily successful entrepreneur suggested I read this book about five years back and it is indeed one of my most highly-recommended to date. Especially when it comes to goals, productivity, success and progression.

This book gives you the ideas and application on how to master focusing on that one thing which can have the biggest impact and how to prioritise it.

The notion of being single-minded can often be seen as a negative trait, but for the most part when it comes to success, productivity and achieving your goals, it is the best way.

Laser-like focus on the one thing that will have the greatest knock-on effect is where you should be concentrating your energy.

Success is based on sequentially doing the right things habitually and not just for a few days or weeks.

Motivation is finite and will run out, so make the most of it while it is high to create the habits that will serve you for life.

When it comes to getting in shape, sticking to your New Year's Resolutions and succeeding in 2019 this is another book I highly recommend you buy this year.
