The Evening of Writing Uncontrollably with Nita Sweeney

Nita Sweeney, author of Depression Hates a Moving Target (a multi-year NaNoWriMo project), will be one of the speakers at this event! Be sure to ask her about the book and have your copy signed!

Have you ever wanted to attend NaNoWriMo’s Night of Writing Dangerously? Well, you’re not alone. In honor of National Novel Writing Month, Wagnalls Memorial will be holding the Evening of Writing Uncontrollably. Come be inspired not only by fellow writers, but also by our beautiful Tudor-Gothic style library.

Like the original NaNoWriMo event, this write-a-thon will be seven hours. During this time, appetizers and drinks (yes coffee too) will be available. For those looking to be enthused, we will have speakers; for those looking for feedback, we will have listeners; and for those looking for some quiet, we will also have a quiet floor. These are just a few things you can look forward to! Moreover, you don’t even have to get out of your pajamas to come because this event is pajama themed (though attending in your night clothes is optional).

Need another reason to attend? This event is a fundraiser! By purchasing a $15 ticket to attend the event, you’ll be helping Wagnalls fix up the kitchen. This will enable us to hold more events, which will bring in more funds to keep our doors open.
