Join us for a playful exploration of the healing power of risk. Not all of us need to raft in the wilderness for the first time at age 62 in order to heal from childhood wounds, but that was prize-winning author Irene O’Garden’s journey. Learn how risk connects us to what we want, how to wisely assess a risk, how to appreciate the risks we have already taken and how to use the powerful momentum of risk to create the life we yearn for. Irene’s new book is Risking the Rapids: How My Wilderness Journey Healed My Childhood. She is also an off -Broadway playwright whose critically-acclaimed Women on Fire played to sold-out houses. She is a performer, poet, and Pushcart Prize winner. She lives in Garrison, NY with her husband of forty years, playwright John Pielmeier.
