Coral Gables is at the epicenter of the dining scene in Miami and today, the City of Coral Gables unveiled an exciting new project, a cookbook, to
celebrate the culinary gems that call the City Beautiful home. Titled,
A Taste of Coral Gables, A Culinary Tour and Recipes from the City Beautiful, the cookbook features famed restaurants, chefs and recipes for some of the City’s most noteworthy dishes. From busy Giralda Plaza and Miracle Mile to the outlying coffee houses and eateries, readers will find that there is plenty to explore and digest in this exciting new read.
“We wanted to say thank-you to our restaurant partners and celebrate the
spectacular culinary offerings in our community,” said Raúl Valdés-Fauli,
Mayor for the City of Coral Gables. “Our restaurants and retailers are an
integral part of what makes Coral Gables an unparalleled live, work, play
destination and what better way to celebrate that than with a keepsake
cookbook filled with beloved recipes.”
To celebrate the launch of the cookbook, the City, along with its partners at the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement District of Coral Gables and the Coral Gables Community Foundation, have come
together to host an evening of culinary delight. On Tuesday, September 17th from 5:30-8:00pm, the community is invited to Books & Books Coral Gables to sip and taste delicious bites inspired by the cookbook, while getting their copy of the cookbook signed by top chefs in attendance. The tickets for the event are $45 each or two for $80, includes a copy of the cookbook. 100% of proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Coral Gables High School Culinary Arts Program.
