ABOUT THE BOOK

How To Thrive, Not Just Survive Your Divorce (and save thousands on legal fees)!

If you are getting divorced, you’re likely afraid that this is going to be the most painful, challenging and heart-wrenching time in your life.

You may feel that divorce is:

  • As overwhelming as turning on your phone and seeing you have 229 unread texts, 57 unread voicemails, and 1,997 unread emails.
  • As challenging as walking through the Sahara during a sandstorm without any water.
  • As shame-inducing as noticing you are the only single parent at a school potluck.

Here is what you might not know. Even if you are getting divorced you can still:

  • Feel the liberation of being comfortable with your ex and their new partner at your kids’ birthday party.
  • Experience feelings of empowerment such that you can’t stop smiling and giggling through your lipstick covered lips because you know how lucky your upcoming date is to be spending time with you.
  • Sense such unbelievable joy that you get stopped in your tracks walking down the street and realize you never thought you could have it this good.

I know this all sounds a bit too good to be true, but Light at The Other Side Of Divorce: Discovering the New You shows you how using primarily research-supported strategies.

This book provides a step-by step guide on how to rediscover a life of growth, change, and abundance post-breakup. Informed by Dr. Cohen’s own healing journey, this book provides tips and tools for healing that take advantage of both modern psychology and science, while also honoring what it feels like to be in the emotional divorce-recovery journey. The book offers a model for how life after divorce can be: A life that you choose, design and love. Light on the Other Side of Divorce: Discovering the New You empowers people to heal, grow and thrive after divorce no matter how difficult the process has been.

In this event Dr. Cohen will be speaking with Attorney Susan Guthrie, an award-winning Divorce Attorney and Mediator on how healing yourself emotionally not only benefits your mental health but directly impacts the legal process. Dr. Cohen and Susan know from their experience that the more one heals themselves the better prepared they are to advocate for themselves during the treacherous legal process.
