Kim Jocelyn Dickson

Kim Jocelyn Dickson, M.A. Princeton Theological Seminary; B.S. University of Missouri-Columbia, is a parent, educator, author, and lifelong lover of books.

 

Kim has experienced and witnessed the life-changing power of literacy for herself, as a parent, and in hundreds of elementary school students she taught for over three decades.

 

Her work is focused on empowering parents to understand the importance of and support for their child’s love of reading, particularly in the first five years. The Invisible Toolbox explains why and how reading aloud from the beginning has a powerful impact on a child’s school experience and ultimate potential.

 

Kim is also the author of various articles in psychology, literature, biography, women's issues, and religion, as well as the book GIFTS FROM THE SPIRIT: REFLECTIONS ON THE DIARIES AND LETTERS OF ANNE MORROW LINDBERGH, (Crossroad, NY, 2002).
